the ASK

Develop a cutting-edge immersive story experience to coincide with the launch of the Infiniti Q50 luxury sedan. Target tech-savvy Premium Consumers.

the ANSWER

A responsive film changes each time it’s watched, where the characters reach out from the screen and call YOU on your cell phone. Your conversations with them — how well you advise them, win their trust, and form a working partnership — actively affects the onscreen narrative.

my role

I was brought in to develop the story and write the screenplay, partnered with a writer with a video game background. We developed the storyworld and created a fresh, unexpected arc for our characters, including organic ways to engage the unique voice-recognition tech that let our audience participate.

result

Hailed as a breakthrough in interactive films, Deja View set a new standard for what’s possible with interactive storytelling using advanced speech recognition and AI. Perhaps more importantly, it captured the attention of our target, with some viewers spending more than an hour going through the experience multiple times. Press coverage generated an additional 100M+ PR impressions.
