The ask

Generate buzz with die-hard drivers for the 2022 Cadillac CT4-V and CT5-V Blackwing sport sedans — likely the last manual sedans from the legendary badge — while preserving Motortrend’s editorial voice.

the answer

It’s easy to gush about fast cars. The challenge here was to excite without selling out.

The answer? A dialogue of call and response. Motortrend’s wish list for a pure sport sedan meets the promise of Cadillac’s adrenaline-soaked, match-cut visuals.

The original concept called for quotes from Motortrend articles. When I couldn’t find the lines we needed, I wrote my own and sent them through MT’s expert and legal for approval. Voilà, editorial copy.
